Why is it that Crysis still looks far more realistic after 6 years into the future and better than any Far Cry or it's sequels? Or any game in general?
I think it's mainly because game creators thought they'll make game popular by making sci-fi action game with good graphics, and they probably thought graphics were very important for game like this! Also, both companies that contributed in game creation, "Crytek" and "Electronic arts" are known by good graphics and good resources, so I think it's because good companies had a good idea!
So basically they poured a lot of money into a video game they would think have great concepts and it would sell well.
